"Every Day Is Another Small Heartbreak" is a sound-activated, playable music video game made with Max/MSP. It is a project that uses mathematics, digital sounds, analog instruments, 3D animation, and physics to create an immersive music-listening experience. Game studies is a relatively new branch of media studies, and it mostly argues that adding playability and interactivity heightens the subjective experience of viewing art. Working with this hypothesis, "Every Day" hopes to engage the player with the emotional weight of "heartbreak".
